Mrs. Arthur Foreman in Summoned
Mrs. Arthur Foreman passed away at her home in this city early Saturday morning, after an illness of nearly two years' duration, part of which time she was bedfast.
Her maiden name was Lena May Vanston, and she was born in Rockford, Ill., December 28, 1871. When a child, she moved with her parents to Iowa, locating in Coldwater, Butler County, where she grew to womanhood.
She was married to Arthur C. Foreman, December 1, 1892, and to this union were born three children, all of whom survive: Loyce, Hazel and Frank. She is also survived by four brothers and one sister: Elmer and Orville Vanston of White Rock, S. Dak., Harvey and Wesley Vanston of Nashua, Ia., and Mrs. Frank Zulke of this city.
Mrs. Foreman was a woman of the finest character, devoted to her family and friends and interested in every good cause. "None knew her but to love her; none named her but to praise." For many years she struggled against ill health, the last two years being unable to do any work, but throughout it all she bore her suffering with Christian resignation. She was baptized in girlhood, and kept the faith to the end.
She was a member of the Woman's Relief Corps of Marion, who attended her funeral in a body. Services were held at the Methodist church Monday, March 11, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. A.H. Hanscom.
