BRIEF ILLNESS FOLLOWD BY DEATH
Mrs. W.E. Carver Dies Suddenly Saturday Morning
The many friends of Mrs. W.E. Carver were shocked Saturday when they learned that she had passed away very suddenly that morning at 12:15, following a very brief illness.
As a matter of fact she had been in Marion on the previous day and attended prayer meeting in the evening. However, she complained of illness as she was preparing for bed on her return home. Death was due to asthma, high blood pressure and complications.
Mrs Carver was born at Emden, Maine, April 18, 1866, came to Nashua, Iowa, in 1869 and to Marion in December 1880. she was married to W.E. Carver, Oct. 18, 1882, and except for one year spent in Michigan they had lived ever since in or near Marion, and for 37 years to the present time, two miles west of Marion.
She is survived by her husband, six children, Hubert of Boyd, Texas; Carl and Victor of Marion; Mrs. Esther Van Horn of Milton, Wis., Mrs. Myrtle Ford and Dorothy C., of Marion. She also leaves one sister and two brothers, Mrs. Emma Long, Triego, Mont.; Frank Mullin, Luverne, Iowa, and Burt Mullin of White Fish, Mont.; besides twelve grandchildren
She was a member of the Church of God, of the W.C.T. U., at Cedar Rapids and of the local American Legion auxiliary.

The funeral of the late Mrs. W.E. Carver was held from the family residents, two miles west of Marion, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Burt F. Marrs of Oklahoma conducted the services and the interment was in Oak Shade cemetery.
