MR.[sic] PARKHURST DIES

Member of Prominent Marion Family Passes to Long Rest Last Evening.

Last evening at 8:30 o'clock occurred the death of Mrs. Louis[sic] Parkhurst, wife of Dan M. Parkhurst, following a relapse from an operation performed several weeks ago at St. Luke's hospital. Mrs. Parkhurst was though[sic] to be recovering nicely from the delicate operation, but a sudden relapse yesterday could not be stemmed and she passed away last evening.
Mrs. Parkhurst was a member of a prominent Marion family. She was the daughter of the late Judge Giffen. She leave to mourn her death, her husband, Dan Parkhurst, a son, Henry, and her mother, Mrs. Giffen. She is also survived by three sisters: Mrs. J. Franz of Marion; Mrs. Brett of Mason City, and Mrs. Lawrence of Lawton, Okla.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed, but services will probably be held Tuesday afternoon.
