Erma M. Rush, 64, 1639 Park Town Court N.E., Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, March 9 at St. Luke's Hospital following a sudden illness. She was a resident of Cedar Rapids most of her life. She was born June 10, 1917 in Minnesota. She was married to Robert R. Rush, April 9, 1940 in Dubuque. She was a Corporate Officer and Director of Rush Construction Co. for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, El Kahir Shrine Auxiliary, Past President of the Ladies Kiwanis Organization, and an officer of the Cedar Rapids Ladies Home Builders Assoc.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter Sherry Rush of Washington, D.C.; a son, Senator Bob Rush of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Dorothy Nelson of Dallas, Tex.; two brothers, Warren Harbaugh and Ward Harbaugh of Manchester; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 12, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with the Dr. Eugene Hancock of St. Paul's United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.
