the story goes that he was brought up a lutherin he got curious about the methodist religion and went to a metting he joined the methodist church. he meet a methodist girl elizabeth elliott. his father michal and brother sameul disowned him. because they where lutherins. elizabeth elliott was a daughter of solomon elliott and mary crabb.

he lived in tuscarawas, stark ohio
he married her under andrew hahn. he bought land in 10/apr/1830 under andrew hahn. he was on the 1830 fed census in tuscarawas. stark ,ohio andrew hahn lived next door to a michael hahn rev war soldier married to nancy, who would have been 55 to have andrew.
in 1830 fed census he had one son under the age of five no daughter he and a women where listed.
in 1834 he sold the land in tuscarawas.stark ohio. under the name of andrew hawn from that time forward he was known as andrew hawn.

he & his wife elizabeth movied to bath,summit,ohio he & elizabeth sold that land in 4 /sept/1841

he & his family stayed in indiana for a couple of years, then he and daniel hahn came to iowa in 1847. both daniel & andrew where born in penn both had children in ohio, indiana, then linn, iowa
