OTTO FETT, JR.

Funeral services for Otto Fett Jr. were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 1984 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson with Rev. Donald Strickler officiating. Burial was in the Evangelical Cemetery near Donnellson.

Mr. Fett, 58, of Donnellson, was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 2, east of Donnellson at 2:49 a.m. Sunday, October 28.

Mr. Fett was born November 4, 1925, in Donnellson. A lifelong resident of Donnellson, he was a Santa Fe railroad engineer and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge of Fort Madison and the United Methodist Church of Donnellson. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

On November23, 1950, in Fort Madison, he married Kathleen Butler.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Bertha Meinhardt Fett of Donnellson; a son, Jerry of Donnellson; seven daughters, Judy Fee, Janet Schau and Jacklyn Johnson, all of Donnellson, Joyce Smith of Keokuk, Jayne Pezley of Argyle, Julie Larson of Midwest, Wyoming and June Hewett of Fort Madison; a brother, Clifford of rural Farmington; a sister, Mrs. Dwight (Mildred) Krebill of Donnellson and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Otto Fett, Sr., a sister and a grandchild.

A memorial is being established with the United Methodist Church of Donnellson. Contributions may be made at the Hofbauer Funeral Home.
