Henry Clemens Died at His Home in
this City Last Evening, Being
Forty-One Years Old.
____

Henry Clemens, the colored man who died at his home in this city last evening was one of the respected colored residents of the city and although blind was cheerful till death came to him last evening.

He was a brick layer by trade and was at one time very prosperous, going to Denver, Colo., in early manhood and remaining there until his eye sight failed him and he returned to his widowed mother in Keokuk who has tenderly and faithfully cared for him up to the last. In all his years of helplessness he was ever of a cheerful disposition.

On Monday evening he was stricken with apoplexy and remained unconscious until last evening when he died. He was born on December 15, 1866, at Columbia, Mo., and at the time of his demise was 41 years, 9 months and twenty days old.

Burial will be made at Columbia, Mo.
