Keokuk Man Weds.

William J. Culbertson, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Culbertson, 1218 Blondeau street, was married in Fremont, Nebr., October 21, according to word received by friends here. His bride was Miss Helen E. Schafer of Omaha. The following notice of the wedding is taken from the Fremont Evening Tribune:
"Miss Helen E. Schafer of Omaha, a former Schuyler girl, and W. J. Culberson of Keokuk, Iowa, a traveling salesman for the J. C. Hubinger Brothers' company of Keokuk, were quietly married by Rev. W. H. Buss at the study in the First Congregational church. The couple were attended by Miss Nina Waters of Council Bluffs and Theo Schafer of Omaha. The party were served a wedding dinner at the Dexter."

"Mr. and Mrs. Culbertson went to Omaha for a brief honeymoon. They will not go to housekeeping at once but will travel together for a time, while Mr. Culbertson continues to cover his terrintory (territory?) for the Keokuk firm he represents. The bride is an esteemed young woman, who has a large circle of friends at Schuyler, where she was graduated from the high school and was a favorite. She was a member of the Schuyler high school basketball team a few years ago. Her father, the late Dr. D. E. Schafer, physician, is well remembered. Following his tragic death, the family took up residence in Omaha. The groom, who is a young man of sterling worth and promising ability, grew to manhood in Keokuk, where he was connected with mercantile firms before he became a salesman for the J. C. Hubinger Brothers' company. He is well known and popular in the towns he periodically visits."
