A pioneer Sunday school teacher whose death occurred recently, has been honored by a bronze tablet commemorative of her forty years of service, which was placed in the primary room of the First Baptist church at Keokuk. The teacher was Mrs. Sarah J. Rickards.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she was born in 1847 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery.
