MUCKEY, MARKOFF, MARKGRAF, PICKETT, WILLIAMS, TURNER

Lloyd Stanley Muckey, 76 of Algona, died early Saturday morning at St. Ann Hospital where he had been a patient since Wednesday evening.

Funeral arrangements are tentatively set for Monday at 2 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Raymond Russell officiating. McCullough's are in charge with burial in Riverview Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 7, 1894 at Algona, son of William and Amelia Markoff [sic Markgraf] Muckey, and attended school in Algona. Mr. Muckey was in the plumbing business 40 years here, retiring 10 years ago.

He was married to Mary Pickett on Nov. 6, 1925 in Algona. His widow survives.

There are three sons, Stanley, Algona; Robert, Los Angeles, Calif.; Russell Picket, Ankeny, and one daughter, Valeria, Mrs. Robert Williams. Algona. There are also twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one brother, Melvin Muckey of Tacoma, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, William and Bert, and one sister, Myrtle.

Mr. Muckey was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Kiwanis Club.

(Contributor's note: Lloyd was first married to Martha Edith (Mattie) Turner, 18 May 1916, in Algona. She and Lloyd had two sons, Stanley and Howard. Martha died 5 February 1921 in Algona.)
