Deceased was born in Skonic Sweden, August 22, 1847 and died February 10, 1922, being at the time of his death, 74 years, 5 months, 12 days.

He was married in Moline, Ill., to Margaret King and to this union six children were born, two of whom died in infancy, Mrs. Peterson dying 1899. The remaining children are: Mrs. Amelia Lester, of Ledyard; Mr. Fred Peterson, of Ledyard, Mrs. Margaret Richardson, of Algona and Mr. August Peterson, living on a farm west of Lakota. Also, seven grandchildren.

He was a kind and loving father. Burial will be in the cemetery at Lakota, Iowa.
