Gordon Robert Burt 1933-2021

Gordon Robert Burt, son of Robert and Pearl (Flier) Burt, was born on September 6, 1933 in Armstrong, Iowa. He passed away on May 7, 2021 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, Iowa at the age of 87.

He received his education and graduated from Seneca High School. Following high school, he entered the US Army and served from 1955 until 1957. On November 21, 1959 he was united in marriage to Connie Jones at First Presbyterian Church in Armstrong. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in rural Fenton,Iowa farming together for many years.

He was a member of United Methodist Church in Fenton. In their younger years Gordon and Connie enjoyed going to dances. He was a member of the Fenton Elevator Board for many years and also was a Seneca Township Trustee for many years. Gordon was also a 4-H Leader.

Left to cherish Gordon's memory are his children, Laurie (Brian) Robison; Robert (Trish) Burt; Andrew Burt; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his sister Lois Berhow.

A funeral service was held May 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Fenton with interment at the Seneca Township Cemetery.
