Cory Lee Anderson, son of Gary and Sharon (Jordahl) Anderson was born in Blue Earth, Minnesota, on December 30, 1964. He passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Kossuth Regional Health Center, in Algona, Iowa at the age of 56 years after a courageous battle against cancer.

Cory graduated from North Kossuth High School in 1983. He then worked at Weigh-Tronics in Fairmont, Minnesota and as a mechanic in his dad’s auto shop. Cory loved working on his farm and home; he took a lot of pride in both of them.

Cory was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Swea City, Iowa. His family was number one in his life. Taking care of his parents, daughters, and entire family were the most important priorities to him. He loved to grill and cook for them. Going on trips to the casino with his mama, brother, and brother-in-law brought many smiles to his face. Cory loved going to the Alexandria and Osakis, Minnesota areas for fishing trips. Fishing was his greatest past time, always having a great story from the trips. He also enjoyed being on the road riding his Harley, letting the wind blow through his hair.

Cory is survived by his daughters Mariah Anderson and Mikaela Anderson, and his grandchildren Aidan Anderson, Harper Struecker, Jack Struecker, and Ryder Upton. He is also survived by his dad Gary Anderson, and his siblings Tanya (Patrick) Bauer and Kurt (Michelle) Anderson.

Cory is preceded in death by his mom Sharon Anderson, his infant brother Scott Anderson, and his nephew Coleman Bauer.

A funeral service was held Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Swea City with interment at Harrison Township Cemetery, Swea City.
