L. LAURITSON, 77, DIED AT HOME OF DAUGHTER HERE
Survived By Four Sons and Two Daughters; Had Lived In Algona Since the Late Eighties.
Laurits Lauritson died Thursday noon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Carrie St. John, with whom he had made his home for the past six years. He had been in poor health since last June but was bedfast for only a week.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at two o’clock at the McCullough chapel with the Rev. Nelson Price in charge. Burial was made in East Lawn cemetery. The Pallbearers were Chester Schoby, Walter Dale, James Murray, Wm. Durrant, Roy Hagg and Mare Moore.

Laurits Lauritson was born in Denmark Oct. 15, 1866, and was 77 years old at the time of his death. He emigrated to the United States when he was 21 years old and came directly to Iowa. He lived for a short time in the vicinity of Cylinder and the remainder of his life was spent in and near Algona.

SIX CHILDREN SURVIVE.
He was married May 7, 1896, to Miss Anna Brown of Algona. They began housekeeping on a farm in Lotts Creek township where they lived until 1918 when they moved to town. Mrs. Lauritson died Sept. 29, 1934. Mr. and Mrs. Lauritson were the parents of six children all of whom are living. They are Harry and Joe of Camarillo, Calif., Welford of Dows, Earl of Bradgate, Mrs. Jessie Elmore and Mrs. Carrie St. John, both of Algona. There are 22 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
