AGED KOSSUTH FARMER DIES; FUNERAL MONDAY

Algona—George Eden Sr., farmer in Buffalo township since before the town of Titonka was chartered, died at his home. Funeral services were to be held Monday at the home at 1:30 p.m. and at the Methodist church at 2 o’clock with the Rev. W. L. Patterson in charge. Burial was to be in Buffalo township cemetery.

Mr. Eden, 75, was born on a farm near Ackley and came to Kossuth county in 1893 with his parents. In 1896, he bought a farm 4 miles southeast of the present town of Titonka and lived there till 1937 when he moved to town.

He was married in April, 1899, to Anna Tjarks, who died in 1904, and in June, 1906, he married Louise Sprick, who with these children survive: Allen, Etta, Pfc. George Eden Jr. in the A.A.F. in France, Erwin and Lester, Titonka; Mrs. Ida McGregor, Swea City; Mrs. Ronald Ortman, Burt; and Lula, at home.
