H. Lafayette Turner, aged 59, a lifelong resident of Kossuth County, passed away late Sunday afternoon at his home here at West McGregor street.

Mr. Turner, a painter and decorator by trade, had been ailing for the past four or five years, and had been more seriously ill the past year. He was born June 30, 1880.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, (today) at 2 p. m. at the McCollough chapel, and burial will be at Burt. Rev. C. W. Pfeiffer of the Presbyterian, Church will preach the funeral sermon. Mr. Turner was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Surviving are the widow and four children, all at home: Ruth, William, Robert, and Lee. A brother, Floyd of Algona, and a sister, Mrs. E. J. Palmer, also of Algona, survive.
