Biography reproduced from page 139 of Volume II of the History of Kossuth County written by Benjamin F. Reed and published in 1913:

A. G. Anderson, who owns two hundred and forty acres of land on section 23, Hebron township, is one of the enterprising and highly progressive citizens Sweden has furnished Kossuth county. His natal day was September 1, 1849, and his parents Andrew and Carolina (Blunner) Veidrickson, who passed their entire lives in the old country. Their family numbers six, of whom our subject is the eldest, the others being as follows in order of birth: John, Tilda and Carl, who are residing in Sweden; August; and Widingson, also a resident of Sweden.

The youth and early manhood of A. G. Anderson were passed in his native land, where he worked for fourteen years in a puddling mill and also served in the army. He emigrated to the United States with his wife and family in the late ‘80s, going direct to Minnesota. He located on a farm about two miles north of Fairbault, where he continued to reside until 1888 , when he came to Kossuth county, settling on section 23. Here he now owns two hundred and forty acres of fertile land, which is well improved and equipped, and is engaging in general farming and stock-raising.

In 1874, Mr. Anderson was married to Miss Charlotte Johnson and to them have been born five children: Sophia, the wife of S. L. Michelson, of Faribault county, Minnesota; Gustavus, who is deceased; Augusta, the wife of F. H. Boettcher, who is mentioned elsewhere in this work; Carl, who was born in Sweden on the 11th of November, 1882, and educated in the common schools of Minnesota and Iowa; and Hannah who is at home.

The family are members of the Norwegian Lutheran church at Rake, Winnebago county. Mr. Anderson enjoys the full rights of citizenship, giving his political support to the republican party. He is assisted in the cultivation of his farm by his son Carl, who resides at home, and is directing his undertakings with the intelligence and capability that invariably achieve prosperity.
