Mrs. Millie Haidee Wells, 71, died Monday, Oct. 13, 1941, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Kitzman, west of What Cheer. Funeral was Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Indianapolis Christian church, with service by L. F. Grubbs of Sciota, Illinois, formerly of What Cheer. Burial was at Indianapolis cemetery.

Music was by Mrs. Ross Johnston and Mrs. Matthew Manion, accompaied by Mrs. L. W. Wilson. Pallbearers were Kenneth Dugger, Earl McMullen, Edward Dugger, Floyd McMullen, Arthur Baker, and David Dugger.

Mrs. Wells was born near What Cheer, April 27, 1870, daughter of Macajah and Mary E. Dugger. She was married to L. A. Wells, Oct. 6, 1888. Mr. Wells preceded her in death three years ago.

They were the parents of four children, Dr. F. L. Wells of Keosauqua, Mrs. Fred Kitzman of What Cheer, Mrs. Raymond Catcott of Hedrick, and a son Clellan, who died 23 years ago.

Others who survive are four grandchildren, two brothers and four sisters.
