Wish I could claim it, but my Heeren is Talke Marie Heeren, B: 18 JAN 1798 in Germany, East Friesland, Wiesede, 2nd wife of Dirk Dirks Upschoert, Germany. Talke's brother, Johann Heeren came to Jones County in the 1860's. Her son's Johann B. Dirks and Hinrich melcher Dirks followed in the 1870's. Two of my GG Grandfather's daughters, Hinriette Dirks and Gesche Marguaretha Dirks married John Galts and Bernard Stulken in Jones county before moving west to Plymouth Co. Iowa, before 1885.

Are there copies of the Anamosa paper on fische or disk? Tax or city records? I am traveling to Germany for the month of June to Reepsholt, Hesel, Wiesederfehn, Upschoert, Wiesede, Hopels and Leer. I will be spending three or four days in each city. I have the books from Hesel, Upschoert, Hopels and Wiesederfehn hope to get the rest will there.
