MONTICELLO - Matthew J. Supple, 53, died at his home Sunday morning, March 21. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning in Sacred Heart church in Monticello. Burial was made at the Castle Grove cemetery. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Eugene Lorenz officiated at the Requim Mass and the Rt. Rev. Hennessey officiated at the burial service.

Matt Supple was born March 21, 1912, in Castle Grove, the son of James and Margaret Donahue Supple. He was raised in that area, and made the Monticello community his home his entire life. He never married.

Survivors include two brothers, Raymond of Hopkinton and Vincent of Monticello; three sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Vera) Fulton, and Mrs. Don (Evelyn) Lewis, both of Monticello and Mrs. Owen Leonard of Anamosa.

Pallbearers included Maynard Lewis, Terry Lewis, James Leonard, Marcus Supple and Clarence Bader.
