OXFORD JUNCTION - Funeral service was held last Friday at 2 p.m. from the Hayden funeral home for Frank Ledvina, 74.

Rev. Kenneth Harden conducted the service and Antone Vanicek spoke for the Z.C.B.J. lodge. Singers were Mrs. Fred Lasack and Mrs. Louis Ingwersen accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Palmer Vaughn.

Serving as casket bearers were F. B. Nowachek, Otto Benhart, Frank Koranda, John Burda, Henry Shimerda and Martin Fritz. Interment was in the Mayflower cemetery.

Frank Ledvina was found dead in a small barn of a neighbor, Anton Blizek, a block from his own home Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. He had hung himself while despondent over his ill health. Mr. Ledvina had been attending to some chores and had left home around 10 a.m. when he did not return, Mrs. Ledvina sent her son, Louis, to look for him.

Frank Harrington, Wyoming, Jones county coroner, was called and held no inquest after investigation.

Frank was born in Chicago Nov. 231, 1872, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Ledvina. He came to Oxford Junction when a small boy. He was united in marriage to Mary Eleck, Oxford Junction in February, 1901. They farmed for several years, retiring then to make Oxford Junction their home. Mr. Ledvina served for a number of years as street commissioner and also mail carrier for the Milwaukee railroad. He was a member of the Z.C.B.J. lodge.

He is survived by his widow, a son, Louis, daughter, Mrs. Edna Harrington, two grandchildren, Ed, Marion, and a sister, Mrs. Frank Mizaur, Oxford Junction.
