OLIN - Funeral service for William E. Freeman, 81, who died at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, March 12, was held Friday afternoon at the Campbell Funeral Home. Rev. W. E. Strait of the United Brethren church was in charge, and interment made in the Olin cemetery. Masons assisted in the service at the grave.

William Edward Freeman was born Feb. 18, 1865, on a farm southeast of Olin, the son of Hamilton and Agnes Moore Freeman. March 8, 1888 he was married to Ina Belle Smith, Olin. Their home was made on farms near Olin, until 1928 when they retired and moved into town.

Five children were born to the union, all of whom survive. They are: Mrs. Vida Porter, Hillsboro, No. Dak.; Arthur, also of N. Dak.; Walter, Arlo and Gordon, all of Olin. One sister, Mrs. Maggie Bleasdel, Holstein, Iowa, also survives. Mrs. Freeman died in June, 1941. Three brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death.

Twenty grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren also survive.
