12 July 1945 - The Anamosa Journal

Funeral service for Charles C. Livingstone, 62, who died Thursday evening in an Iowa City hospital where he had been taken earlier in the day, was held Sunday afternoon at Smykil's Funeral Home. He had been ill about two weeks. Burial was made at North Madison cemetery near Center Junction.

He was born in Center Junction, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Livingstone. He operated his farm near there until about 15 years ago, when the family moved to Anamosa where he served as guard at the state reformatory for 13 years.

Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret French, and two daughters, Mrs. Robert Dolphin, Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Wanda Wilhelm, Macomb, Ill.; a brother, John Livingstone, Iowa City, and two sisters, Mrs. Neil Cramer, Monticello, and Mrs. Florence Green, Chicago.
