OLIN--Body of Lorenz A. Petersen, 61, retired farmer, was discovered hanging in the barn near his home at Olin early Monday morning. Coroner F. L. Harrington, who was called to the scene, attributed death to suicide, and said no inquest would be held.

Funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon at the Campbell funeral home. Rev. A. E. Sommer, pastor of St. John's Lutheran church officiated.

Born Dec. 7, 1884, at Husum in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, he was the son of John and Marie Lorenzen Petersen. He was baptized in infancy and confirmed in the Lutheran church.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, John and Louis, Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Marvin Fisher, Olin and Mrs. Frederick Miles, Cedar Rapids; several grandchildren, one brother and one sister. One brother preceded him in death.

He came to the United States in 1904. In 1909 he married Louisa Ahrendsen. Home was made on various farms in Jones county, last 25 years in the vicinity of Olin.
