OXFORD JUNCTION--Joseph Kropek, 73, died at his home in Oxford Junction, Saturday evening, June 15, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 19, at 1:30 p.m. at the Hayden Funeral home. Rev. Ramon Booth, of the Assembly of God church, conducted the service.

Hymns were sung by Mrs. Otto Koranda and Mrs. Hans Ahrendsen. Mrs. Hayden was organist.

Pallbearers included Thomas Hunwardsen, Otto Koranda, Lumir Shimanek, Fred Lasack, John Buresh and Frank Tyc.

He was born Nov. 13, son of Joseph and Katherine Kropek, Oxford Junction. He farmed with his father for a number of years before retiring and moving to town where he was employed as a mechanic. He was married May 6, 1936 to Mrs. Mary Luke.

He was a member of Z.C.B.J. Bohemian lodge and a retired member of the volunteer firemen.

Survivors include his wife; a step daughter, Mrs. Haddie Jackson, Oxford Junction; a brother, John, Oxford Junction; two sisters, Mary, Mrs. Rudolph Dusanek, Wyoming, and Rose, Mrs. Frank Henek, Oxford Junction.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
