ONSLOW--Ben D. Schrader, 55, Onslow, died Saturday, Apr. 27, at John McDonald hospital, Monticello, after suffering a heart attack.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 29, at 1:30 p.m., at the Wallace Brothers Funeral home, Wyoming. Rev. Robert Saunders, Temple Hill, conducted the service. Burial was in Temple Hill cemetery.

Pallbearers included George Paulsen, Ben Paulsen, Lee Burke, Vincent Donovan, Bob Von Spreecken and August Schrader.

Military service was held by the Wyoming-Onslow Legion post at the cemetery.

Mrs. Walter Sullivan was organist. Walter Sullivan was soloist.

He was born April 14, 1908, son of John Schrader and Ida Luckstead Schrader, Center Junction. He was married March 17, 1951, to Rita Riley, Cedar Rapids. Couple made their home in Anamosa for one year before moving to a farm near Onslow. He served in the United States army for 3 1/2 years.

Survivors include his wife, Rita; a daughter, Julie; three brothers, Arnold, Norris and Myron; and a sister, Ella, all of Center Junction.
