Mame W. Eichhorn

Services for Mame Eichhorn, 93, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Wyoming, were March 10 at the United Methodist Church in Wyoming. Burial was in the Wyoming Cemetery.

The Reverend Robert Dennert and the Reverend Clare DeBoef officiated. Pallbearers were Gary Eichhorn, Jack Troop, Al Baird, Ron Wagoner, Howard Eichhorn and George Wessels.

Eichhorn died March 6 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. She was born on May 14, 1893 near Wyoming, the daughter of Charles and Ilah (Smith) Bottomstone. She attended Wyoming High School and graduated in 1910. Mame married Chris Eichhorn on February 23, 1921 at Wyoming. The couple farmed north of Wyoming until the death of her husband in 1956.

Mame then moved to Toledo, where she worked at the State Juvenile Home as a housemother. In 1959 she retired, moving back to Wyoming, where she lived until moving to Methwick Manor in Cedar Rapids in 1967.

She was a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church and was active in the United Methodist Women's Organization and many Wyoming clubs.

Eichhorn is survived by one son, Stanley, of Tipton; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a great-grandson, one sister and two brothers.
