MILDRED A DUSANEK
1912-2002

Mildred A. Dusanek, 90, of Wyoming, died on Thursday, April 4, 2002 at the Anamosa Care Center following a brief illness. Mildred was born on March 8, 1912 at Wyoming, the daughter of Rex B. and Kitty R. McCalmant Haesty. She attended the Wyoming schools and graduated in the class of 1929. On July 11, 1932, she married Louie Dusanek at Geneseo, IL. As a young woman, she worked as a switchboard operator for the Wyoming Telephone Company and then later in life, she worked at the Royal Blue Grocery of Wyoming until her retirement. Louie died in September of 1997.

Mildred was a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years, and a past member of both the Rebekahs and the Royal Neighbors of America, all of Wyoming. She is survived by three sons, Donald Dusanek and wife, Joyce, of Iowa City, Larry Dusanek, of Fairfield and Robert Dusanek and wife Linda, of Fort Pierce, FL; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Arber Felker; her husband, Louie; an infant daughter; three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 Monday afternoon, April 8, at the Wyoming United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Wise officiating. Burial was in the Wyoming Cemetery.

Casket bearers were David Walshire, Royal Snyder, Duane Mallicoat, Paul Saunders, John Dusanek and Allen Willman.
Hayden Funeral Home, Wyoming, was in charge of arrangements.
