LOCAL FARMER BURIED SATURDAY AFTERNOON

A happy home has been saddened by the calling to his heavenly home of Joseph Antone Dusanek on Thursday, February 26th at the age of sixty years, eight months and seventeen days.
Joseph, son of George Dusanek and Mary Krolich Dusanek, was one of a family of nine children, one brother Johnny preceding him in death at the age of eight years. His mother also preceeds him in death.

Joseph Dusanek was born on June 9th 1881 on the Dusanek farm, one mile northwest of Wyoming, Iowa. Here he grew to manhood, obtaining his education at the Oak Grove School and learning at an early age that life was real and full of many duties and obligations. This early life was a preparation or foundation for a well rounded out life, full of service.

On April 3rd 1907 Joseph Dusanek was married to Rose Sacora. Their home for one year was upon a farm north of Onslow. Then they moved to the present home west of Wyoming, where they have resided for thirty four years. Three children, Emma at home, George and family living northeast of Onslow, and Bessie a teacher, at Monroe, Michigan, with their parents have made this a pleasant, happy home.

Joseph Dusanek was a man of strong character, and sterling worth. He possessed a loving heart, sunny disposition, always smiling and mind full of kindness. With all these admirable qualities, Joseph was a good husband and father. The home was a very happy one. The relatives and friends who visited this home from time to time always found a welcome. Upon departing all visitors have felt uplifted and inspired to have spent a few hours, where there seemed to prevail such unselfishness, contentment and real happiness. It is difficult to select the words to express the life of this worthy man.

There will be a great loss to the community by the passing of Joseph Dusanek. He was always ready to help a neighbor, for no task seemed too great for him, if he could just help some one. All of his acquaintances have been influenced toward living a better life for having known him.

His illness has been long, trying and tedious, never complaining, but so bravely and with a smile he must have been trusting God and he knew that our comfort to bear these earthly trials came from higher power. His fraternal instincts found expression in his membership of the Woodman Lodge.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, two daughters, Emma and Bessie, one son, George, and his wife, and two grandsons, John and Norman, four brothers and three sisters Frank, Rudolph and George of Wyoming, Ia.; Edward Dusanek and Francis Benischek of Alberquerque, N. Mexico; Mary Henak of Oxford Jct. and Rose Glenn of Olin. Also his father, George Dusanek, who still lives at the old home, besides nieces and nephews, and his aunt Mrs. Shackleton and Uncle Manuel Dusanek.

Funeral services were held at the Harrington Funeral Home in Wyoming Saturday afternoon at 2: o'clock , with Rev. Nicholas Pastor of the Presbyterian church in charge. The following pallbearers were all nephews of Mr. Dusanek. Louis Dusanek, Raymond Zaruba, Harry Zaruba, and Harry Kosticheck.

The out-of-town relatives and friends attending the funeral were Joe Capek and daughter Elizabeth, Mr. and Mrs. Lowe of Chicago, Mrs. Rose Dolezal and son Charles of Marshalltown, Ia. Mrs. Lula Newman and Miss Teresa Pechek of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
