Dora Dusanek, 93, of Wyoming, Iowa, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at the Maquoketa Care Center, where she had resided the last several years. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, at Lahey Funeral Home in Wyoming. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the service time. Burial will be at the Wyoming Cemetery.

Dora Dusanek was born in Wyoming, Iowa, on Jan. 16, 1920, the daughter of August and Catherine (Petersen) Cartensen. She graduated from Wyoming High School in 1937. After graduation she helped her parents on the home farm. She was united in marriage to Raymond Dusanek on Feb. 9, 1950, in Davenport.

Dora spent her life as a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and fishing. She was an excellent cook. She especially enjoyed going camping with Raymond, spending the time fishing, and visiting with fellow campers. She will be remembered as a gracious host to her family and friends.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1984; three sisters, Emma (Wolber) Paulsen, Hertha (Elmer) Bahnsen and Minta (Max) Thomsen; and four brothers, Herman (Esther), Martin (Verna), John (Aldenia) and August (Lois) Cartensen,

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Wyoming Cemetery.
