28 February 1935 - The Tipton Advertiser

Mrs. Chester Sarby, a bride of two months, committed suicide by hanging herself in the hay chute of the barn at her farm home near Olin, Monday morning. Mrs. Sarby, a young lady of 20 years, was formerly Miss Erna Von Behren, daughter of Fred Von Behren, farmer residing just north of Stanwood. No reason for the act could be found by the county coroner of Jones county, who investigated the case. Mrs. Sarby's body was discovered by her husband. He left to do the chores and several hours later found her body in the barn. He told officials that his wife complained of not feeling well when she awoke in the morning. Surviving Mrs. Sarby are her husband, her father, three sisters and four brothers.
