MONTICELLO, Iowa - Julia M. Graham, 83, of Monticello, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at Regional Medical Center, Manchester, following a brief illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monticello, with the Rev. John Kremer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Monticello, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4:30 p.m.

She was born on Feb. 2, 1923, in Bernard, daughter of John and Julia (McDermott) Kirby.

She married Leo F. O'Rourke in Hopkinton; he preceded her in death on July 26, 1963. She later married Bill Graham on June 16, 1973, in Hopkinton; he preceded her in death in 1994.

She was devoted to her faith and was a member of Sacred Heart Parish.

Julia enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are a son, Leo O'Rourke, of Monticello; four stepdaughters, Suzanne (Leo) McDermott, of Bernard, Janice (Dave) Loecke, of Manchester, Nancy (Mark) Breitbach, of Dyersville, and Cathy Graham, of Cedar Rapids; two stepsons, Jack Graham, of Cedar Rapids, and Pat (Sarah) Graham, of Dyersville; three grandsons, Mark O'Rourke, of Edgewood, John O'Rourke, of Monticello, and Eric O'Rourke, of Cedar Rapids; 20 stepgrandchildren; a great-granddaughter, Hannah O'Rourke, of Edgewood; 18 stepgreat-grandchildren; and two sisters, Veronica Wilson and Agnes (Edmund) Hucker.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers, Francis, Raymond, William, Paul, Augustine, Clair, Emmet and Charles; and two sisters, Annie Sacket and Viola Clark.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the nurses at Regional Medical Center, Manchester, for their wonderful care.
