Paper: Anamosa Eureka (Anamosa, Iowa)
In Cass Center, Dec. 13th, very suddenly, from hemorrhage of the lungs, Norton Condit, aged 21 years.
The whole community was startled on Thursday morning by the unexpected intelligence of the death of our young friend and brother. Although not in very good health, and yet he was apparently as well within ten minutes of his death as he had been for months. He had just returned from a visit with his friends in another county, worshipping with us on the Sabbath, took his usual place in the Sunday school, and mingled in society until the morning of his death.
But although thus early and suddenly summoned from time to eternity, he had consecrated his life to Christ, and had made public profession of his faith in his Savior. “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
