While walking between the Milwaukee tracks between Oxford Junction and Wyoming, John Bureish, a well-to-do farmer living two miles north of Oxford Junction, was struck by a Davenport and Monticello train Friday evening of week before last and fatally injured. Two of his fingers and three of his toes were cut off and he was otherwise bruised and injured. He was taken by the train crew to Wyoming and surgical assistance rendered, but he died from the effects of his injuries at 3 o'clock Sunday morning. Bureish was 62 years of age. He leaves a widow and five grown children. His son George is in the hardware business at Oxford Junction.
