OVERCOME BY HEAT-Last Monday about noon, Mr. J. I. Vanness, a well-known blacksmith of this city, was overpowered by the excessive heat and fainted away in his shop. He was restored to consciousness and proceeded to work again, but was soon taken by another fainting fit. He was finally conveyed to his residence and is now about again.
