Mrs. Anna Jirava, aged 80, passed away Sunday afternoon at 4:15 o’clock at the family residence in Newport township, five miles east of town.

She had been ill five weeks. Two sons, Emil and Michael, survive and to them a large number of firm friends will extend sympathy in their great loss. She had been a resident of Johnson County since 1867, when she came to this country from Bohemia, her place of nativity. She was a worthy woman.
