SWISHER – Joseph Stepanek, 75, of Swisher, died at his home Tuesday after a sudden illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, with the Rev. William Harnish officiating. Burial will be in the Blain Cemetery near Swisher. Visitation will be aft er 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel.

Mr. Stepanek was born March 27, 1906, near Swisher, where he lived most of his life.
He was a retired employee of Wilson and Co. in Cedar Rapids, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Swisher American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Leona, whom he married June 12, 1939, in Cedar Rapids; and two brothers, William and Edward, both of Swisher.
