Lonna Rae Forrest, 90, died at Briarwood Care Center on Monday, July 19, 2021.

Lonna was a gentle and elegant soul.

Lonna was born January 2, 1931 in Gladstone, MI, the daughter of Harold and Claudia Stephen Hall. She married Lee Forrest on May 11, 1953.

She graduated from Central Michigan University and was a teacher.

She moved from Edinboro, PA to Iowa City in 2019.

Her survivors include four children: Janet Forrest, Kenneth Forrest and his wife Julia Muensch, Bennett Forrest and his wife Marty Hostettler, and Carol Forrest-Gookool and five grandchildren.
