Barbara June Hunt, 87, of Iowa City, died on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Windmill Manor in Coralville.

There will be no services at this time. Barbara’s family plans to have a celebration of Barbara’s life at a later date. Inurnment will be at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.

Barbara was born on January 3, 1933 in Trenton, Missouri, the daughter of Kenneth Milo and Jessie Cleo (Hatcher) Williams.
For over 25 years Barbara worked for the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in the dietary department and housekeeping. She retired in 1991.

Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, having breakfast with friends, reading, puzzles, crocheting, and snuggling with her grandpups. She was a fan of Willie Nelson, Hawkeye basketball, and the movie, The Goonies.

Barbara is survived by her children: Shelia (Kevin) Merrifield of Cedar Rapids, Sheryl (Randy) Marsden of Shueyville, Shelley Blakey of Macksburg, and Stephanie (Ted) Spivey of Iowa City; grandchildren: Michael Merrifield, Denise (Jeff) Shurtz, Kimberly Merrifield (Lonnie), Chad Marsden, Sabrina Lacher, and Justin Lacher; great-grandchildren: Maddison, Alicia, Lance, Cadence, Jette, Kortlyn, Mackenzie, Peyton, Mason, and Aurora; great-great-grandchildren, Rhaelyn, Mason, Jeremih and her longtime companion, Charles Robert Welker.

She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Jessie Williams, sister Eva Lou Gray, brothers Billy Gene Williams and Donald Ray Williams and grandson Curtis Marsden.
