Solon, Ia. May 4--The funeral of Miss Mary Jane Payne was held Wednesday morning from her late residence in Solon, conducted by Rev. Ray Busenbark. She had lived here over seventy years and was born in Ohio in 1841. A brother, H. C. Payne, of Cedar Rapids, a brother Francis of Leon, Kan. and a sister, Mrs. Luther Uulum of Keswick, Iowa, survive her. Interment was made in Oak Grove cemetery, where her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Payne, were buried many years ago.
