Michael Rotter, 66, of Oxford died Sunday, November 25, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

A graveside service will be held 1 pm on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Oxford Cemetery, in Oxford, Iowa. Friends and family are welcome to join the immediate family at the cemetery to share their memories. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association in his honor. Mike was born on September 14, 1952, in Iowa City to Lavern and Betty (Laurel) Rotter. He attended and graduated from Highland High School in 1971. He was a cook at Mercy Hospital. Mike enjoyed watching the Hawkeye basketball and football. He was an avid Cubs fan and cheered on the Clear Creek Amana softball team. Mike would always start a game of Euchre when gathering with his family. If he wasn’t working on a crossword puzzle, you could find him watching the Game Show Network, Judge Judy or Judge Marilyn.

His family includes his brothers, Rick, Randy (Diane) and Steve (Bernadette); niece, Anthea and nephews, Lucas and Chad.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James.
