Claude Schrock Killed In Auto Accident Monday

Claude Alvin Schrock, 28, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Schrock of near Frytown was killed about 9 o'clock Monday morning when his car went out of control and rolled into a ditch on a Johnson County road north and east of the Twin-County Cheese Factory.
Schrock was alone at the time and was killed outright according to Dr. George D. Callahan, Johnson county coroner. He suffered a broken neck when he was thrown from the car.
Claude was driving a 1937 Ford, and was going east on the newly graveled road when he lost control of the car which rolled twice coming to rest on its wheels in the ditch.
Schrock was single and lived with his parents. He had been working as a farm hand near where the accident occurred. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Orville and Olin Schrock, both of Cedar Rapids, and a sister, Mrs. Odenna Detwiler, living in Pennsylvania.
Funeral Services will be held at the Sharon Evangelical United Brethren church at Sharon Friday afternoon, July 31 at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in the nearby cemetery.
