Kalona Schools
Two new scholars Ivan and Meredith Maas have entered the high school. This makes the total enrollment for the year, fifty-two. The number of pupils attending high school who reside outside the district is now eighteen. None of these members of the ninth grade.

Sharon
Alice Hagenbuch returned home Thursday from Orange City where she is a teacher.
The Sharon E.L.C.E. had its business meeting and social gathering last Thursday in the E. E. Miller home. The newly elected officers were: Pres. Glen Miller; V. Pres. Marjorie Schwimley; Sec. Treas. Evelyn Weeber; Treas. Milton Winborn.
Hartsock school District No. 3 presented a very enjoyable program Monday evening. the main feature being a negro minstrel. The candy boxes were auctioned by Earl Grout.
Honor Night for local Boy scout troop was Tuesday evening. Second scout badges were presented to those who passed their tests namely, Gerald Schwimley, Harold Sahs, Roy, Robert and Gene Meer, Lester and Chester Bell, Dean Kesselring, Calvin Niffenegger, Carrol Chipman, Charles Jacob, Walter and Russell Winborn.
A.A. Ressler and Harold Resslers attended the Chaivari and oyster supper at Sharon Center, Wednesday evening given by Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Miller
