In Response To: "Inmates" in the 1860 census (Jim Mott)

The county poor farm may have listed a group there
as "inmates" There were also "insane" also
living there. A child might be living there
with a mother, often these poor women has
babies born at the poor farm. There was a
cemetery on the poor farm and some years ago as
corresp.secy I tried to make a list of deceased
and it is on our web site, NO STONES erected.

I am 89 and no longer do research Verda
