I read the l856 Walnut township Census on Jefferson County web site under Census for Iowa a
Clarissa is still in Iowa. Scroll down to item

WALNUT Twp page 800 house #65
Clarisa Carter age 31 born OH, widow in Iowa l0yr

Amanda age 14 born OH in Iowa 10yr

Charles age 11 born OH in Iowa 10yr

Albert age 4 born IA

Samuel A Carter is in BIDWELL Cemetery. What
connection is there to Benjamin Bidwell l819-1898
and to a Sarah Bidwell 1792-1870 on the l870
morality schedule, a mother to Benjamin? & how
connected to BEDWELL ?

The Casaday/Cassaday clan led me a merry chase for
numerous researchers many years ago. One Martin
Cassaday who lived here had 3 wives, and 20
children - his stone says b.l786 d. 1872

Where do you two live? Sarah are you inzg Fairfield
or how do you have such quick access to the
papers?
