Betty Jean GOFF, 96, formerly of Brighton, passed away early Thursday morning March 28, 2024, at Parkview Home in Wayland (note: in Henry Co., IA). She was born July 23, 1927, in Fairfield, the daughter of Earl and May PARSONS BRUDERS. Betty grew up in Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1945.

Betty lived in the Fairfield, Brighton and Coppock area most of her life and had worked at the Fairfield Glove Factory for 20-plus years, and retired from Washington Manufacturing after many years of working there.

Betty spent a great deal of her time with her grandchildren, they were all so very dear to her. She was always ready to help with whatever they needed. A ride to school, help with homework or just someone to talk to. Betty enjoyed planting many flowers around her home, she enjoyed gardening and canning the fruits and vegetables that she grew. Betty was an animal lover of all dogs and cats. But most of all her beloved dog Betsy.

Betty is survived by two sons: Tom FLEMING (Christie) of Vancouver, Washington, and Robert SCHOOLEN (Dorene) of Coppock; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters: Carolyn FLEMING and Linda ARGOBAST, 2 brothers: Clyde BRUDERS and Earl BRUDERS Jr. and 1 sister, Helen HAYNES.

The fmaily would like to thank Wayland Parkview Home/ Hospice Compasses (sic) and Wayne Gould for taking such good care of Betty in her time of need.
