MARY LOU (HART) LAUX

Mary Lou (HART) LAUX, 82, of Fairfield, passed away July 22, 2022, at Prestige Care Center in Fairfield.

Mary was born July 19, 1940, in Brighton to Seth Wesley and Regetta (SMITHHART) HART. She married Phillip Joseph LAUX on December 29, 1956, in Richland. He passed away April 11, 1998.

Mary was a longtime resident of Fairfield. She was co-owner/office manager of All American Pest Control for 37 years with her husband Phillip. Mary was a member of St Mary Catholic Church, VFW and the Elks. Mary was full of spunk and ornery antics. Her most cherished times were spent with her family and her dogs, Blue and Jax.

She will be missed by her children, Dennis (Marsha) LAUX, Kristy STORY, Becky (Robin) RAGEN all of Fiarfield, Phil (Renee) LAUX of Brighton, Shelly (Larry) GEVOCK of Ottumwa, and Mike (GG) LAUX of Keosauqua; 16 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Seth and Regetta HART; husband, Phillip LAUX; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Ray ESTES; and son-in-law, Jerry STORY.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Laux Park Family Cemetery, 1185-320th Street, Brighton, IA 52540 with Father Nick Adam officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Kristy STORY to be designated for local dog adoptions or to St. Jude's Children Hospital. Cards and memorials may be mailed to Kristy STORY, 606 East Fillmore Avenue, Fairfield, IA 52556.
