MARY ELIZABETH MANNING
Brighton

Mary Elizabeth MANNING, 59, of Brighton, passed away surrounded by her family, Monday, July 4, 2022, at the Jefferson County Health Center.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2022, at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Hope Lutheran Church, with Pastor Ryan Dexter officiating. Cremation will follow the service with inurnment at a later date at Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Germanville.

If giving a memorial, please make it out to Craig MANNING, as the family is deciding where the memorials where go in Mary's honor.

Mary was born December 14, 1962, in Washington, to Donald and Mary (WATSON) SCHANTZ. She married Craig MANNING on September 11, 1982, at Hope Lutheran Church.

Mary received her associates degree in bookkeeping. She worked about 10 years in the accounting for Seifert's, sale rep for Fan Steel and last secretary for First Lutheran Church until her health wouldn't allow her to work.

Mary loved being a mother to Elizabeth, Emily and Amber and later grandmother to Harper and Lydia. She was very active in her church and made many trips to Colorado with the youth. Mary liked going for walks and reading.

She will be missed by her husband of 39 years, Craig MANNING; two daughters, Emily MANNING (Patrick IVES) and Amber MANNING; two granddaughters, Harper and Lydia IVES; five siblings, Dave SCHANTZ (Regina), Kathryn THOMPSON, Alan SCHANTZ (Karen), Barbara STEVENS (Wayne), Linda TIMMINS (Dean) and Becky MATTSON (Craig); and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Mary SCHANTZ; and daughter, Elizabeth MANNING.
