MRS. ALLEN KING DIED IN DENVER

Word was received in this city this afternoon of the death of Mrs. Allen KING, which occurred at her home in Denver, very suddenly following an attack of pneumonia. Mrs. KING was taken sick Sunday and passed away yesterday afternoon at four o'clock. She was 69 years old.

Mrs. KING is the step-mother of Miss Clara I. KING, formerly of this city, but now of Austin, Texas. Miss KING leaves today for Denver, and will accompany the remains to this city where the funeral will be held the first of next week. Mr. KING passed away at Denver about a year ago (sic - in 1911).

Note: Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, IA, in Lot Old.P.236. She was married twice, first in 1871 to William H. 'Harry' DAVIS who died in 1880; second in 1882 to Allen KING. Mary was the daughter of Moses and Mary RICHART SHAMP.
