Note: There was no obituary published in "The Fairfield Ledger" for Marguerite. She died in Burlington, IA, and "The Hawk Eye" published in Burlington had a death notice and an obituary for her on Sunday, December 3, 2006, on Page 9B.

Marguerite Grace CUMMINGS was born on Nov. 28, 1918, in Burlington, the daughter of Joseph and Claudia Olive BONNELL CUMMINGS. She died on Friday, December 1, 2006, at the Burlington Care Center in Burlington, Des Moines Co., IA. She was not married. Her parents and one half-brother preceded her in death, and she is survived by several cousins. There was no formal visitation. Graveside committal services were held Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, IA. Marguerite is buried in Lot 4th.020 and shares a stone with her mother Claudia. Her father Joseph died in Detroit, Wayne Co., MI, in 1933 (exact date not noted, but a brief announcement appeared in the "Burlington Hawk Eye" on July 6, 1933); his burial at the time of this posting is not known.
